Rotary Club of Pahoa Sunset named Joseph Valez, an 11th-grader at Kua O Ka La Online Academy, its October Student of the Month for his outstanding contributions to his school and community.
The public charter school’s teachers and administrators cited Joseph’s academic success with the online curriculum and 4.0 gpa.
